Our Journey to Tennesse
We finally made it Monday late in the afternoon, but I thought I would break it down on how we got here. It was an adventure for sure.
Wednesday: we had some packed but we didnt have a lot. While I was working on things all the boxes we stacked avalanched on me. Lol our spare room looked awesome so I had to take a picture:
Thursday: we woke up early and packed and cleaned all day.My sister came and helped me clean some things in the afternoon. My mom dad and sisters Britney and Tamara. And Britneys boyfriend Solomon came over and helped us pack at night. Michaels sister Rachel came as well. we got MOSTLY everything done. We got the Truck this day and backed it up and smashed all the trees.
Friday: We loaded the truck! Allison, Riley, Richie, Ethan, Sadie and us loaded it up. It didnt take us too long at all. We drove to Layton that night and stayed at Allisons house. We met up with Michaels Mom, his sister Amy and Josh. We had a great time visting.
Saturday: We drove from Layton UT, to Ogallala NE. Michael nicknamed all the states. Wyoming= Desolation
Nebraska= Stinky state
Ogallala NE
Sunday
We drove from Ogallala NE to Omaha NE for a nice visit at Winter Quarters
From Omaha we drove to Kansas City MO
we wanted to make it to Columbia MO but we got stuck in Iowa. We were driving down the freeway when all of a sudden it was closed. we had no idea what was going on so we got off and drove to another city and took a highway to the bottom of Iowa thinking we could get on the freeway there. When we got to the city, every road was closed on your way out. We talked to a lady at a gas station and she said that we just have to drive around the closed signed but to be careful because the road was bad. And it was a BAD road. I guess the reason why the freeway was closed was because the missori river flooded. When we finnally got out of Iowa and into Missouri we got on to the freeway and saw what had happened to the people who live along that river.
Iowa= Crappy road corn state
Missouri= Never ending state
Monday: We drove from Kanas City MO to Memphis TN! We tried to hurry there since it was so long and we had to do apartment stuff and people were going to help us move in. But we did get to drive through St Lois and see the temple. We also got to see the First sign for memphis which made me so happy I had to take a picture.
Arkansas= the washboard state
Here is a neat picture of Memphis on the Bridge over the Mississippi
Thank you everyone who helped. We sure are lucky to have such a great family!
