I left feeling a little let down but ok. She encouraged us to try and get back to normal. But I wasn’t really feeling like I could. I wanted more explanation... I am a planner and a thinker. I like to know what’s going on. But really who doesn’t? Sure I like to be spontaneous but when it comes down to waiting but being normal it just didn’t sit right with me. She is an awesome doctor, normally she is very good at calming me down and making me think oh it’s no big deal. And she did, but I was just still uneasy.
But there is also no point of staying home and never doing anything, which also didn’t seem right. Uneasy is really a good way to describe it. So we went shopping for some clothes for Brock. He grows out of clothes so fast and as its getting warmer I am feeling like I have less and less things for him to wear. We went home after and had a normal day. It felt good!
This morning started out normal breakfast, and playing; Michael went to school. Brock and I ended up in our room and he was in his walker. I was hiding under the blankets playing peek a boo with him when he just seemed tired so I picked him up and was holding him when he went limp and started having another seizure. I rolled him on his side and called Michael. He stopped seizing sooner than Sunday. His mouth was open, so he didn’t turn purple. The thing that really has bothers me and has haunted my dreams has been the noise he makes. It’s almost like a gurgle a low pitch constant gurgle.
When his seizure stopped I called his peditretion. It was about 8:20ish so the office was not quite open, some nurses were there but it took a while but I got a hold of them and make an appointment. We got the first one for the day. I got dressed when Michael got home and we left. Brock was just so tired and out of it. He fell asleep in the car and when we picked him up after we got to the doctor he just cried and cried because he wanted to sleep.
The whole doctors’ visit he just cried because he wanted to sleep. We had to see a different doctor because ours is not in on Tuesdays but she was very familiar with what was going on. She told us she wanted to run some tests. They collected urine and blood. During the blood draw Brock feel asleep. That’s how much he wanted to sleep poor kid. They got us an appointment for EEG and MRI for next week. They ran some test there and had to ship some out. The blood count came back normal as well as the urine analysis. We will hear later this week for the other tests.
We left the doctors with all the instructions we would need for next week. They said if he has more to call and let them know. We probably won’t need to go in unless it happens to be weird in anyway.
We will keep you updated on everything as it comes!
his new normal thing to do, hes sniffing at me!
