January

So for my New Years resolution was a significant cut back on TV watching, we have been so sick since we moved here and there was seriously days where we couldn't do anything but watch TV but I feel like I got in a nasty TV habit and I didn't like it. I felt encouraged after a stake conference as well. So this was the first month of a cut back. Let me tell you though we had lots of fun. I love playing with them and it got fun for me to turn off the TV and play. Brock wakes up really sad every day so in the mornings we still laid around and cuddled but after a few short shows it was play time. I really have had to be organized with my time and making sure we do fun things at home and out and about. Usually it went like this: Mondays was grocery shopping and play time at home, Tuesday was out and about days normally the aquarium or a park on the warmer days. or even just exploring outside. Wednesday was my free day just whatever activity or outing that came around. Thursday was story time and time at the library and reading day, and Friday was cooking or baking or making something day!   Of course I wasn't perfect and we got sick so that just doesn't work well but other days we had a lot of fun!
Here's our fun pictures:

Here is a big thing that happened this month for us! no more highchair! Will loves just sitting at the table.  Also not pictured but no more crib either!

Michael's surprise date night out. I had a babysitter come and everything he had no idea! It was a great night out too. Thanks Emily

We had a lot of fun! The boys are getting so big and so much fun! I love being a mom!

Children Museums

The month of January we got to go to not one but 2 children museums and play with cousins.
We first went to the Gateway with Alison. She had a few guest passes and invited us to go! It was so much fun! Here is some pictures:

Thank you Alison!!

The next one was with my sister and we went to the museum of Natural curiosity, we loved it. It is such a fun museum!!
Thanks for inviting us Britney!

ice cream after!!

Of course I was a horrible mom and forgot the camera twice. It was sitting on the couch both times. But I did have my phone even if I didn't take too many pictures!! I am so so glad!!!

Brock is 2 1/2

Brock turned 2 1/2 of January 4th. I told Brock he was 2 1/2 now, he kept saying no no no. So I said ok Brock how old are you? He responded 1, 2, 3, calm down.

He wears a size 3T and 4 T shirts and 3T pants. Hes tall so its the length we want though around the waist is a little big.
His shoe size is about 8 1/2

I'm not sure I can really just express how much I love this kid. He is such a good boy. so polite and kind. He doesn't like getting in trouble so he does his best to be good. His nursery leaders always tell me how nice he is. Hes funny and loves to joke. He has the most hilarious fake laugh. He loves to do anything that we are doing except use the potty. HAHA
Hes always concerned with what his Brother is doing he constantly is in big brother mode. He loves all kids and babies and tries to take care of them. He gives the kisses and brings them blankets. You know he likes taking care of us too. He will make me dinner because he thinks I am hungry! He does his chores around the house like hes on an important mission. He hunts for diapers to throw away!

Hes getting good at counting but gets obsessed with certain numbers, this month 2 is three and he has 3 all the time. He has counted to 5 though!!
He loves 5 little monkeys songs and will ask us to sing them. Its a ritual to sing 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed. and jump on the bed after bath every night.

He constantly reminds us to say prayers and has gotten good at saying them himself. Usually it goes Father, thank you mom dad Brock and Will amen.  SEE he is the cutest!

He got the hang of singing jingle bells around Christmas. he would just belt out JINGLE BELLS JINGLE BELLS JINGLE ALL THE WAY! over and over.

A new favorite show for both boys is Bubble gubbies. Though they call it bubble hubbies

a conversation with Brock:
Me: Oh dear Brock what are we going to do when Christmas is over??
Brock ummmm... Build a snowman

We met up with a friend around Christmas and went to the festival of trees. She had a little boy just younger then Brock who is adorable! but he came up to Brock and said hi nice to meet you and shook his hand. Well now Brock does it to everyone!! haha

He is so funny, but he always always answers you with a "oh" Brock look at this!! Brock: oh wow! Brock can you throw away this diaper Brock: oh sure. Brock remember to share with Will. Brock: oh yeah here you go Will.

He loves to dress up and pretend and his favorite thing to dress up as is SUPER Brock!! Which he will add I am big and strong I'm super Brock!!

Hes getting quite good at telling you all sorts of stories One night in the bath Michael was playing with Brock. Well Michael ended up being a dinosaur. And Brock told Michael to sit. So Michael sat. And Brock said oh good boy here is a treat. Michael said oh thank you what kind of treat. Brock said A cookie!!

His favorite things at 2 1/2:
Food Chicken hotdogs and fruit. and Well Icecream
Things to do: paint, play balls, and go outside,  going somewhere fun with mom and Will
Favore things: animals! dinosours and dragons,
Favorite person is his Dad and Will. though sometimes it is mom!
Favorite color: red or blue

He is obsessed with selfies. He will bring me my phone and pictures with mom please? or sometimes just by himself

I cannot get enough of this boy! I am so glad he is mine!!
